#JMSselfie

Once a year, every organization in the college prepares a general assembly to welcome the new members and the old ones as well. This year, the Junior Management Society prepared something new, something popular, and something catchy. JMS’ first general assembly, "#JMSSELFIE," took place last July 11, 2014 (Friday) at the CKS College 7th floor. The registration started at exactly 1:30PM finally the program started at 2:00PM.

Upon stepping out of the elevator, attendees can already feel the vibrations from the loud party sound. This got the members curious and piqued their interest. Officers ushered the members to the entrance after the registration. They were amazed when the door opened and party lights greeted them, coupled with quirky pictures hanging from the ceiling. Since the assembly’s theme is "#JMSSELFIE", it would not be complete without a photo booth.

The program started with the opening prayer, followed by the singing of the national anthem. Peter Ko and Regine Lao hosted the said event. The crowd came alive when they started to make use of and pass around the monopod (selfie stick) to take a video of everyone who came in.

The opening remarks were given by the adviser of the Junior Management Society, Mr. Fernando Bautista. He reminded everyone to "Take this kind of organization as an opportunity and a chance to learn.”The action plan for this academic year was discussed by JMS president, Deena Krupasa. She explained the importance of the seminars laid out for the school year, and encouraged everyone to participate in JMS activities.

The officers wore hoodies and pants that make them unique instead of wearing corporate attire. They also prepared a dance number for JMS members. Groupings were formed using a game called jigsaw puzzle. The next game was called "pictures 1 song"; followed by the guessing game and  "showdown." Jazelle Lim and Eunice Ong gave the closing remarks. The GA ended with everyone having fun on the dance floor.
