School of Graduate Studies Students and Faculty General Assembly 2024

Chiang Kai Shek College Higher Education hosted its Graduate Student and Faculty General Assembly on September 21, 2024, in the 2nd-floor conference room. The event was led by School of Graduate Studies Dean, Dr. Rolance Chua, along with Program Directors, Dr. Imelda Nery and Dr. Dennis Sandoval. Graduate students, faculty members, and attendees from the Teacher Certificate Program participated in the gathering, making it a meaningful occasion for the CKSC academic community.
The assembly kicked off with welcoming remarks from Dr. Chua, who emphasized the importance of community building and academic excellence in the graduate program. Dr. Nery and Dr. Sandoval followed with updates on upcoming academic projects and events, as well as insights into enhancing the overall graduate student experience.
In a unique twist, the assembly also coincided with the celebration of the Mooncake Festival, a cherished cultural event in the Filipino-Chinese community. To mark the occasion, students and faculty members participated in the traditional dice game, a fun and interactive activity associated with the festival. The game, full of excitement and laughter, not only added to the festive atmosphere but also brought students and faculty closer, fostering a sense of unity and tradition.
The Graduate Student Assembly served as an excellent platform for students to connect with the administration and each other, while the Mooncake Festival celebration further highlighted CKSC's commitment to blending cultural heritage with academic pursuits. The event successfully demonstrated the institution’s dedication to fostering a vibrant and cohesive graduate community.
