CKSC-JPIA Gives Back

As a way to end the academic year 2014-2015, the CKS College-Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) had their final gathering at San Lorenzo Home for the Elderly in Pasay City last April 27, 2015 to share a bit of happiness and joy to the wonderful residents of the institution.

Through this outreach project, JPIA had the privilege to serve as the provider of food, drinks and medical supplies for the elderly. This gave the CKSCians a chance to share God’s blessing, build new relationships, and connect with them. CKSCians were also given the chance to tour the place; see the facilities; and understand the purpose of the institution.  It was definitely a very memorable experience.

Bringing smiles to the faces of lolos and lolas there, and seeing them be a bit happier than they already are, was indeed heart-warming and rewarding.

Ending the School Year Right by Giving Back to Society

The CKS College Junior Management Society (JMS) initiated an outreach project for the Concordia Resource Services – an orphanage in Metro Manila that has been caring for neglected and abandoned children for the past 29 years. Last March 15, 2015, JMS officers and members had the opportunity and privilege to visit the orphanage and witness the work in this organization.

Boxes of clothes, medicine, toiletries, powdered milk, and food were brought to the orphanage and distributed to the children under its care. CKSCians were excited to meet and interact with kids of various ages. It was heartwarming to see the simple happiness in the children’s faces, as they warmly welcomed their visitors.
