Recognizing Excellence: 2016, 2017 CKSian CPAs

Beyond Standards! Chiang Kai Shek College has once again proved its prowess as one of the top Accounting schools in the Philippines through the results of the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exams held last October 2016 and May 2017.

Last August 5, 2017, the CKS College celebrated its annual laudatory program for CPA Licensure Examination passers held at the Conference Hall of the CKS College Narra Campus with the presence of the Board of Trustees, members of the faculty and staff, parents, and students. Together with the JPIAn student attendees, the program was made possible by Ms. Maribel Chan, Dean of the School of Business, Accountancy, and HRM, and Mr. Ankiat Byron Co, Program Coordinator for Accountancy.

The program opened with the remarks of Dean Maribel Chan followed by an inspirational speech by President Dory Poa, who not only congratulated the CPA Board Exam passers for earning a higher passing rate than that of the national passing rate, but also extended the kudos to the faculty in producing more CPA Board Exam Passers this year.

The awarding of the medals and certificates of recognition was led by Mr. Ankiat Byron Co, assisted by Ms. Gladys Ting, President of JPIA. To represent the board passers, Miss Samantha Joyce Corpin delivered a heart-felt speech, speaking of her struggles and success as an accounting student, and expressing her gratitude towards the people who had been part of her CPA journey. The program was finally adjourned by Mr. Ankiat Byron Co, who quoted from a Chinese Proverb, reminding students to never forget their roots.

It had been a remarkably fruitful event for all, serving as both a challenge and inspiration to on-going accountancy and accounting technology students to pursue their dreams of being a soon-to-be accountant someday.
