Last July 18, 2013, the Junior Marketing Association’s very first General Assembly was held at the 7th floor of the CKS College campus. It was successful not only for the overwhelming number of participants, but also for the smooth flow of events. To start the event, free Marketing lanyards were given out at the registration, and then the officers were introduced. The organization’s adviser, Ms. Lalaine Divinagracia then delivered a welcome speech to the members. Next, the officers shared their big idea for the organization and discussed the list of activities planned for the whole school year, and most importantly, the main goal of developing camaraderie among members was accomplished though the fun games prepared by the officers.
The Junior Students’ Organization held its very first General Assembly last July 19, 2013 at the 7th floor of the CKS College Narra Campus. The said event followed a Hollywood party theme. Its purpose is to broaden the network of friends of each student, as well as to develop interpersonal relationships with one another. In the assembly, the officers discussed the plans of the organization this school year. There were a lot of fun and exciting games organized to accompany the said assembly. Lynnette Chung also performed a song number, entitled “Please Don’t Stop the Music.”
Last July 12, 2013, seventy CKS College students attended the MarkProf Roadshow at the UST Medicine Auditorium. This event officially kicks off the search for the Top 25 Marketing Leaders who will join the MarkProf Bootcamp 2013.
Applicants shall undergo a stringent screening process of interviews and case studies. Thousands apply for a slot in the Top 25 annually, and only the most promising college students receive this privilege. Interested students may apply through http://markprof.org.
The Student Executive Council (SEC) is now encouraging CKSCians to form their teams and prepare to join the Sportsfest to be held in November 2013. With the goal of fostering and promoting sportsmanship, unity, teamwork, and camaraderie, the Sportsfest shall provide a venue for CKSCians from all courses to demonstrate mental and psychological maturity, as well as physical fitness and agility. There will be three major events in this year's Sportsfest: basketball, volleyball, and badminton. Not to be missed is the mini-olympics-- where students can just relax, have fun, and engage in some healthy competition.
A seminar entitled “Marketing Research Tips” was successfully conducted last July 10, 2013 afternoon at the CKS College Audio Visual Room with Ms. Maribel Chan, Dean of School of Business, Accountancy and HRM, as the guest speaker. With more than sixty attendees from different business courses, they learned about key steps and processes involved in conducting marketing research studies. The said seminar was organized by the CKSC Junior Marketing Association and is the first among a series of enriching programs and projects prepared by the student organization for the school year.
