The Senior Organization spearheaded the Graduation Pictorial of CKS College Batch 2017 held last November 22 – 26, 2016 at the 5th floor. Two rooms were reserved for the said event, one for the make-up and dress-up section, while the other was the pictorial room.
Before the said event, the Senior Organization canvassed studios for the said pictorial and came up with top 3 choices, namely, Majicus Junctra Corporation (MJC), Images by Child’s Play, and CJC Photography Asia. Chosen representatives of the organization were asked to have a test shot with these studios to assure the quality of the services that they render. A votation was then made during the collection of the Senior Organization fees on which studio the students prefer to take the graduation pictorial. As the collection and votation concluded, the votes revealed the following numbers: MJC – 5, Images by Child’s Play – 108, CJC Photography Asia – 91, making Images by Child’s Play the chosen studio for the college’s graduation pictorial.
The graduation package consisted of 3 shots: 1 toga picture, 1 barong/filipiniana or corporate attire picture, and 1 creative shot. The studio also offered extra services such as “barkada” pictorials, extra creative shots, etc. The process for the whole graduation pictorial is as follows. First, each student must register to check if he/she has any unsettled balances with the organization. Second, he/she will be given a number and will be asked to wait for his/her turn to wear a toga and to be assigned to a make-up artist. Third, the student will now go to the pictorial room to have his/her pictures taken. The studio provided 2 photographers for the pictorial, one concentrates on the formal shots or the toga shot and the corporate attire shot, while the other directs and captures the creative shots. Professors and administrators of the college were also asked to have their individual photos taken. Similarly, student organizations of the college also had their group photo taken with their respective organizations.
Besides the pictorial, a yearbook would also be published by the end of the school year. This would include all the photos of the graduating students of batch 2017 as well as the pictures of the faculty and administrators. The group pictures of the student organizations would also be included in this yearbook.
This event may have been stressful and tiresome for the officers of the Senior Organization to ensure that each student is well accommodated. But in the end, after seeing the smiles of the graduating students in their pictures, all the exhaustion just goes away. We’re just happy that even after all the troubles that we have faced throughout the pictorial, we still managed to push through.
