The CKS College Student Executive Council in cooperation with the College’s Faculty club conducted an outreach last December 7, 2016 at the Filipino-Chinese Home for the Aged Women to celebrate the Christmas season.
The Filipino-Chinese Women’s Association was organized on March 1952 to aid Madame Chiang Kai Shek in her anti-Japanese propaganda. Out of the group’s concern and compassion for a group of elderly women who were homeless and without family, the association’s president, Mrs. James V. Limpe (Teh Siu Yong), established the Filipino-Chinese Home for the Aged Women in 1972. Currently, the home’s 11 residents stay within the 5000 square meter compound in Malinta, Valenzuela.
Students were able to share their blessings by donating gift baskets containing fruits, milk, diapers and toiletries to the residents.
