SM Supermalls, in cooperation with the Chinese Embassy, invited CKS College to be part of their Mid-autumn Festival celebration at SM City San Lazaro on September 7 and at SM City Manila on September 8.
The programs featured performances from talented students of CKS College: a graceful dance number from the Chinese Dance Troupe, amazing wushu exhibition from the CKSC Wushu team, and a mooncake baking demonstration by Chef Sherril Chua, assisted by CKS College Hotel and Restaurant Management students, Janssen Dy and Anne Kristine Co. After the demonstration, the audience was treated to delicious mooncake prepared by the team. The winners of Mr. and Ms. Chinatown 2014 were also invited to join the celebration by sharing some of their advocacies in the foundation and how they continue to help bridge the gap between the Filipino and Chinese cultures.
The event was covered by Chinoy TV. The SM San Lazaro program was hosted by CKS College HRM student, Dominik Riano. The SM Manila program was hosted by CKS College BSBA-Marketing Management student, Mary Grace Khu. Indeed, both afternoons showed how rich and vibrant Chinese culture is.
