Last December 20, 2013, the Student Executive Council (SEC) and the Department of Student Affairs organized a simple gift giving project for our fellow ka-barangays through “Pamaskong Handog ng FBAS 2014.” This provided an avenue for all CKSCians to share their blessings. Gift packs consisting of rice, instant noodles, and canned goods were distributed to families in the community.

Gift packs were first distributed to residents of Barangay 244, Zone 22, at 3PM, at the CKSC-FBAS lobby. Dr. Rolance Chua, the Dean of the Department of Student Affairs first delivered a brief speech, and extended Christmas greetings from the FBAS family to the barangay. SEC students then distributed the gift packs—all of which were donated by kind-hearted CKSCians who recognized the true value of giving.

Right after the first gift-giving session, the students then headed to Barangay 250, Zone 23. Their chairman, Mr. Rogelio Chua, expressed his gratitude, in behalf of the families of their barangay. He also expressed his sincere thanks to CKS College faculty members, administrators, staff, and students, who graciously shared their blessings. As the families received the goods lovingly prepared and packed for them, they responded with warm thank you’s and wide smiles of gratitude—making the season extra meaningful for the student-volunteers who participated in the said activity.
