HRM Students Spiced Up Their Game in the Grilled Barbecue and Sauces Contest

CKS College students Mr. Harris Edric So (3rd Year) and Mr. Pete Justin Yang (4th Year), won 2nd place in the QCNA 8: Kulinarya, Turismo, Talento, ATBP Mixed Grilled BBQ, Sauces and Garnishing Competition. With the teme “Siglo ng Bagong Taon,” the competition was held last November 25, 2017 at the Central Plaza, Eastwood City, Libis, Quezon City.
The tandem competed against students from Olivarez College, St. Scholastica’s College, St. Paul University, Quezon City, and National College of Business and Arts, Fairview. They presented their original dish, Siglong Asyarap, which is composed of marinated adobo pork belly and baby squid stuffed with tomyum and served with several sauces such as chili paste, tamarind with century egg and mango papaya salad, and black-ink squid naan bread. The entry was presented on plate made of woven pandan leaves, with the sides decorated with clam shells containing the mix of flavours included in the dish.
