GoNegosyo hosted the “Creativity and Innovation Summit” last November 19 at the SMX Convention Center.  More than 4,000 students from colleges and universities nationwide attended the said conference. Among them were CKS College students, led by the Senior Organization and the Junior Marketing Association. Speakers from a wide range of industries were invited to share their experiences on how they became successful entrepreneurs. They also gave advice and shared valuable insights to the attendees.

Mr. Earl Martin Valencia of Idea Space Foundation and Ms. Mitch Padua of Smart Voyager Innovation spoke about how great ideas can be converted to a commercial reality. Ms. Anna Meloto Wilk of Human Nature, Mr. RJ David of Sulit.com.ph, and Mr. Tommanny Tan of Fern-C shared how multi-channel businesses can be created. Mr. Jay Aldeguer, the President of “The Islands Group” shared his experience on how brands in the fashion industry usually turn to other fashion segments to grow. Mr. Johnlu Koa, CEO of French Baker, shared how he attained success despite initial setbacks. And lastly, Mr. Edgar Sia II of Mang Inasal spoke about how entrepreneurs should innovate for greater customer satisfaction.

Students learned a lot from the enriching seminars during the one-day summit. And as entrepreneurs are made not born, they also learned that they should not look down on themselves , pursue creativity in their own ways, focus, and try to make the right choices in life.
