One of the most awaited talks finally came to CKS College. Jonathan Yabut was invited by the Senior Organization to share an inspirational message and give advice to CKSCians. Over 100 students and professors attended the seminar held on the 14th of November 2013 at the 4th floor AVR, CKSC Narra Campus.
Jonathan Yabut graduated Cum Laude with the degree Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of the Philippines. As an accomplished member of the UP Debate Society, he bested 400 debaters all over Asia and reached the semi-finals of the prestigious Asian University Debate Championships. He is the season 1 winner of the hit pan-Asian reality TV show, the Apprentice Asia, hosted by the Malaysian business mogul, Tony Fernandes.
Mr. Yabut talked about leadership and career management. "Take advantage of the fact that you can still choose your paths. It's gonna be a different story 5 years from now." he said,advising the students to choose their paths wisely, a path which a student would be able to enjoy and maximize his full potential in. Another remarkable message that had a huge impact to the audience was that the key to success is to have a “GRIT, “which means having passion and perseverance when working towards reaching one’s goals.
Despite the short seminar, Mr. Yabut was able to share a lot from his past experiences and learning and was able to inspire a lot of young aspiring businessmen and businesswomen. Five years from now, who knows, a CKSCian might just be in the list of the most influential persons of his generation.
