The CKS College Student Executive Council, FRIENDS Peer Counselors' Organization, Junior Marketing Association, Hotel and Retaurant Management Society, Future Educators' Society, Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, Junior Management Society, Computer Society, Young Entrepreneurs' Society, Junior Organization, and Senior Organization are uniting their efforts and are joining hands to proactively help, and not just talk about helping, victims of typhoon Yolanda.

With the devastation that hit Tacloban and its surrounding cities and provinces, FBAS CKSCians are reminded once again of how fleeting life can be, and how little acts of compassion can go a long way in helping those whose hope seem to have been washed away, along with the lives of loved ones, property, and posessions. For those hardest hit by this tragedy, their needs extend beyond the emotional and the spiritual... but more obviously, the physical. And even with the typhoon long gone, the aftermath remains, dead bodies and debris still flood the streets, and the challenge of rebuilding lives remain daunting.

Along with prayers and online support, CKSCians are given this opportunity to extend a hand and help the vicitms of the typhoon through a simple donation drive. Donations shall be accepted at the CKS College lobby on November 13-15. Please give new and/or old (but still useful and in good condition) clothes, mats, and blankets. Other possible items to donate are bottled water, biscuits, rice, canned goods, and hygiene kits.

As we are reminded of how blessed we are to have escaped nature's wrath and to still have loved ones to hug, let us help alleviate the suffering of our countrymen, and find it within our hearts and pockets to give. This is but a simple act-- from one human being to another.
