Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the CKSC-FBAS Business Expo 2013

Chiang Kai Shek College – Faculty of Business, Arts and Sciences continues to provide student-entrepreneurs and promising small and medium enterprises with opportunities to showcase and enhance their innovative capabilities and marketing skills through endeavors such as the Business Expo 2013. This is an annual event organized by the CKS College School of Business and Accountancy, in cooperation with business-oriented student organizations such as the Junior Marketing Association, the Junior Management Society, the Young Entrepreneurs Organization, the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, and the Hotel and Restaurant Management Society.

With the theme “Business Opportunities: Success Beyond Limits,” the three-day trade fair formally opened with a simple ribbon cutting ceremony last September 5, 2013. Chiang Kai Shek College President, Dr. Dory Poa, in her opening remarks, challenged business students to continue to learn, strive, and aspire to become successful entrepreneurs who shall one day make an impact in society. Mrs. Carmelita Espino, Chiang Kai Shek College Senior Vice President, also inspired the students and exhibitors to always choose to focus on the various possibilities in the horizon, and paint a picture of excellence through their products and business undertakings.

Dr. Poa and Mrs. Espino led the ribbon cutting ceremony, assisted by Chiang Kai Shek College administrators Mr. Melchor Te—Registrar, Mr. Judelio Yap—Director of Student Life and OIC for General Services, and Mr. Hilario Tan—Director of Academic Affairs for English Instruction, Mr. Clyde Tan—Dean of IT Education and Manager of MIS Department, Dr. Rolance Chua—Dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies, OIC of Education, and Head of the Department of Student Affairs, and Ms. Maribel Chan—Dean of the Schools of Business, Accountancy, and HRM.  Also gracing the event were former CKSC president, Mrs. Joan Sy-Cotio and Chinoy TV Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Alvin Kingson Tan. At least 800 people visited the first day of the Expo.

More than 50 exhibitors participated in the Business Expo 2013, running from September 5 (Thursday) to September 7 (Saturday), from 9:00AM to 4:30PM. Among the company exhibitors are Rainbow Snow, NTH Creative Collections, Acafela Coffee and Snack Shop, Ontrip Food Services (Nacho King), L-elegante Sac, Longkee Manufacturing, Ltd., Co., NYFD, Lucky Tea, Huhui Distributions, Inc., Joshua’s Meat Products, Hannah and Thea Fashion Line, Business Innovations Gateway, Inc., Transaxion Unlimited (Distributor of OWL and D-Nee), AyElleSy, The Rogemson Company, Inc., V-Tie, Masuki, Bioessence, Vista Residences, Anchor Land, Mary Health Supplements, Follow Design, and Kimian’s Catering.
