The event started with a plenary, having Tireso Lapidez of KPMG, Mailene Sigue – Bisnar of P&A Grant Thorton, Johnny Ang of SGV & Co. and Maria Gomez of PwC. The guests shared what they look for in the applicants of the firm, such as how they look for talent and ask applicants situational questions. They were also able to share how the accountancy profession affects their personal life, particularly their family. They shared their experience in the accountancy profession as well as the effect of new technology in our society and how we could better adapt to it. Although they have different opinions as to how Artificial Intelligence could affect the accountants, they all agree that this innovation would help the profession in terms of efficiency.
