As a final event of the EVMA001 (Events Management), the students of BSBA – Major in Management and BSHRM had an outreach program for young cancer patients. The activity was dubbed “A Coin of Happiness”, wherein each EVMA student filled–up an empty 500–ml water bottle with coins (and some bills) coming from their savings and other students in the CKSC Narra Campus. The outreach program was held in Bahay Aruga, a free half–way house for pediatric cancer patients located in Ermita, Metro Manila last October 17, 2015.

The students prepared some light activities such as origami (paper folding) and coloring activities, participated in by the cancer patients. There were also magic show and balloon art rendered for free by an invited guest magician. Aside from the donation of sacks of rice and children books, each child was also given art materials placed in colorful kiddie knapsack and bag of goodies. Lunch was prepared by the HRM students. It was a heart–warming experience for the students hoping more can be done for them.
