The Chiang Kai Shek College Language Center has several things up its sleeve this school year. For one, it welcomes Mrs. Augustina Co to its office located on the second floor of the College Campus. The new Language Center Coordinator brings with her a solid 25-year experience of language teaching and administrative work.

The Language Center – which has been offering fundamental Chinese classes as well as basic, intermediate and advanced Chinese classes to those interested to learn Mandarin and Fookien – is now offering various English classes for both English and non-English speakers. For college students and professionals, the Language Center has new courses available, such as Grammar Review (1 & 2), Public Speaking and Presentation Skills, and English for Careers (1 & 2). For non-English speakers, there are several classes to choose from: English Zero, General English (1–3), Expressing Yourself (1–3), Grammar Focus (1–3), Reading Matters (1–3), Pronunciation (1 & 2), and Basic English for Employment Communication. On top of all these course offerings, there is also Basic English for Foreign Chinese Teachers. Filipino Classes are also open to foreign students.

The Language Center aims to ensure that its students learn the language of their choice effectively and reach their learning goals. Whether the objective is to learn a language for fun or out of curiosity, to improve career opportunities, to prepare for an English language exam, or simply to learn more about Chinese, English, or Filipino culture, the CKSC Language Center welcomes learners who are at least fifteen years of age. For any inquiries, please visit the Language Center anytime from 8am to 12nn and 1pm to 4pm.
