In cooperation with the CKS College Faculty Club, the Student Executive Council conducted its 2^nd outreach program at the Filipino-Chinese Home for the Aged Women as a follow-up to their previous visit last December, 2016. This is one way of celebrating the Chinese New Year. The project was supported by various students through donations and was coordinated by the Student Executive Council’s programs coordinator, Hannah Grace Yu.  

Upon arriving, the volunteers and professors were welcomed by the home’s current Principal Sponsor and President, Mrs. Betty Limpe Ngo. The afternoon was spent with Mrs. Limpe Ngo sharing her stories of Japan’s invasion and the inauguration of the home by her mother, Mrs. Limpe. Afterwards, a short karaoke session and sharing between the residents and volunteers took place.

This opportunity had become an eye-opener to the students in appreciating and respecting loved ones, teachers and the elderly.
